Yunnan Izumo Kagura Evening (August)

Kagura passed down from the Izumo region
Izumo Kagura is believed to originate from the dance of "Ame no Uzume no Mikoto," wishing for the appearance of the sun goddess Amaterasu, who hid in Iwayato. Currently, there are many Kagura groups in Unnan City that have been passed down as local folk entertainment. The Unnan City Ancient Iron Song Museum invites different groups every month to hold regular performances. In August, the Tsukiya Kagura Preservation Society will perform a solemn dance. ■ Notes The performance schedule may change, please confirm on the Unnan City Ancient Iron Song Museum website, etc.
