Evening of Unnan Izumo Kagura (March)

Kagura born and passed down in the Izumo region
Izumo Kagura is said to have originated from the dance of Amenouzume no Mikoto, wishing for the appearance of Amaterasu Ōmikami, who hid in the rock cave. Currently, there are many kagura troupes in Unnan City, and it has been inherited as a local traditional performing art. The Unnan City Ancient Iron Song Hall invites different troupes each month to hold regular performances. The final show of the 7th year of Reiwa will feature the Sugoro Lion Dance Society, presenting a solemn performance. ■Notes The performance schedule may change, so please check the Unnan City Ancient Iron Song Hall website and other sources.
