YunNan Izumo Kagura Evening (October)

The Kagura born and passed down in the Izumo region
Izumo Kagura is said to have originated from the dance of 'Ame-no-Uzume-no-Mikoto', which wishes for the appearance of Amaterasu Ōmikami, who hid in the Iwaya cave. Currently, there are many Kagura teams within Unnan City, and it has been continuously passed down as a regional folk art. The Unnan City Ancient Iron Song Museum invites different teams every month for regular performances. In October, the Ogawachi Kagura team will perform solemn dances. ■Notes The performance schedule may change, so please check the Unnan City Ancient Iron Song Museum website and others.
