Tado Taisha

5/4(Sun)

5/5(Mon)

Generally referred to as the Tado Festival, it is the annual festival of Tado Taisha. The 'Ugeuma' ceremony is one of the rituals within it. In the Ugeuma ceremony, six young riders, selected by divination, ride in warrior attire and race up a nearly 2-meter sheer cliff as one with their horses. In this ritual, traditionally, the farming period and harvest fortune have been divined. It is an exhilarating sight you would want to see at least once.
