The Kakitubata of Yahashi is known as a scenic spot since ancient times, as stated in 'Ise Monogatari' by the Heian poet Ariwara no Narihira, who included the five characters 'kakitubata' at the beginning of his poem 'Because my wife was woven from the garment, I think back to the long journey I have come.' The Historic Yahashi Kakitubata Festival has a long history, being held for about 70 years, attracting many tourists from across the country each year. There are various historical sites associated with Ariwara no Narihira in the surrounding area. Enjoy tourism along with various events.
