Takada Festival

Spring Festival of Yoro praying for the town's fire prevention
The Takada Festival is held every year on the weekend of the third week of May at the Atago Shrine to pray for the town's disaster prevention and fire prevention. The festival begins with the Kagura lion dance from Shimokawaracho, and three floats from Nishimachi, Higashimachi/Nakamachi, and Shimokawaracho are pulled, showcasing karakuri and kagura, which is breathtaking. At night, the three floats adorned with many lanterns and bonbori create a fantastical space different from the daytime, coloring the festival night. Following the last event, float pullers are being recruited (applications are accepted until May 7) **Note: The kanji for float includes the character for 'mountain' next to 'vehicle'. ■ Notes During the period, there will be traffic regulations, and there may be areas where vehicle passage is not allowed, so please be careful.
