Transcription of Sutras Meeting (May)
A moment of calm, writing at Ichibata Yakushi's Transcription of Sutras Meeting
You will 'transcribe' the printed characters faintly printed with a brush pen, tracing the Heart Sutra and the Medicine Buddha Sutra. Your own handwriting is acceptable. 'Sutra drawing' is also available. Use colored pencils to add color to the line drawings of the Buddha. Perform the task with a pure mind to cleanse your heart. Participants are requested to make a reservation by the day before. A monk will explain and accompany you. Even beginners can participate with peace of mind. The time required for sutra transcription varies by individual but is approximately one hour as a guideline. Finally, we will have tea together.
