Reigetsusai Youkasai: Hachiman Shinsen Butsukuyou Ceremony and Goma Ceremony
Praying for world peace and receiving protection on June 8
Held in conjunction with the 'Youkasai' monthly festival. A grand ceremony for the 84,000 Buddha offerings and a Goma ceremony will be strictly performed. After the rituals in the main hall, all worshippers will巡拝 (a form of Buddhist pilgrimage) the various halls of the 84,000 Buddha Hall, followed by the continuation of the Goma ceremony. The flow of the day will include offering dance, Dainippon prayer meeting, a talk by the chief priest, 84,000 Buddha offerings (stepping on garden grass), Goma ceremony, and free udon reception.
