Matsue Castle's main tower was designated as a national treasure on July 8, 2015. On July 8, 2025, it will celebrate the 10th anniversary of its designation as a national treasure. For the first time, the special edition of the castle lovers’ festival 'Castle EXPO', held every year at Pacifico Yokohama, will be hosted in Matsue City! A commemorative exhibition for the 10th anniversary of Matsue Castle’s national treasure designation, National Treasure Five Castle Summit, Castle Tour Information Zone (where national castles gather and exhibit at booths), and Selected Programs (lectures by popular castle researchers) * Separate fees for courses and stage programs are planned.
