Sumiyoshi Taisha Shirouma Shrine Ritual

The white horse runs through the shrine grounds

Sumiyoshi Taisha

1/7(Wed)~ 11:00~

The Shirouma Shrine Ritual is one of the special rituals passed down at this shrine, where the divine horse "Shirayuki-go" runs through the shrine grounds after visiting each main shrine. It is said that seeing the white horse at the beginning of the year wards off evil spirits. Additionally, special omikuji (fortunes) and protective charms (Takekoma Amulet) that are only offered on the day of the Shirouma ritual can be received.
