Special Exhibition 'Utagawa Kuniyoshi - The Enchanting Talents of a Unique Artist'

Utagawa Kuniyoshi (1797-1861), a ukiyo-e artist from the late Edo period, produced numerous innovative works that changed the history of ukiyo-e, gaining immense popularity both domestically and internationally. His eccentric ideas and design sense resonate with the modern age while showcasing humor that captivates many, transcending both style and time. This exhibition is a definitive showcase of Kuniyoshi, presenting about 400 pieces including warrior paintings, caricatures, and other ukiyo-e prints and valuable original paintings across a wide range of genres.
