Special Exhibition "Ancient Egypt: Mysteries Uncovered! - Gifts from the Nile and Hidden Stories -"

Collection of Ancient Egyptian Artifacts of the Chugoku Region Gathered
The first transmission of ancient Egyptian art to Japan occurred during the Meiji era. Since then, Egyptian civilization has continued to captivate us. This exhibition introduces about 280 unique ancient Egyptian art and craft items, including coffins and funerary goods that contained mummies, and decorative items, from perspectives such as "life", "faith", and "burial". While incorporating the results of archaeological research, visitors can enjoy the daily life, unique beliefs, and artistic beauty of ancient Egyptians up close.
