This is the site where the monk Seiko, during his travels across the country, had a Zen dialogue with a child under a giant pine tree, lost, and gave up on going to Matsushima. This area of the park is famous for its cherry blossoms, and from the observation deck, you can enjoy a unique cherry blossom viewing experience that combines the scenery of cherry blossoms and Matsushima Bay.
