This is the 41st edition of the Sendai Aoba Festival, which colors the fresh greenery of the city. This year's theme is 'Expanding, Date Na Neighborhood.' The lively 'Suzume Odori' will adorn Jozenji Street and the Nishi Park stage, and the 'Dori no Ichi,' featuring delicious food and products from inside and outside Sendai, will also be held on both days. The festival includes a grand procession of warriors and floats, creating the 'Jidaigawa Emaki' that parades through the city.
