Let's make a hydrangea guardian for warding off evil spirits in an old folk house

Workshop at Kawasaki City Nihon Minka-en. Learn about the Japanese custom of creating a "Hydrangea Guardian" while making one on the second floor of the Hara House immediately after entering the main gate of the Minka-en, praying for a healthy mind and body by decorating with hydrangeas during the rainy season. The target audience is elementary school students and above (elementary students need to be accompanied by a guardian). Participation requires prior application (受付 through the email form on the official Nihon Minka-en website). The capacity is 15 people per session (first-come, first-served basis). Registration will close as soon as the capacity is reached.
