The Kaiomaru is a sailing ship that was born as a training vessel for a maritime school. Since its launch on February 14, 1930, it has sailed over 1.06 million nautical miles (about 50 laps around the Earth) and has nurtured 11,190 young people of the sea. At Kaiomaru Park, this Kaiomaru is open to the public in its active form, and it showcases its graceful figure at the total sail setting event, which is scheduled to be held 10 times a year.
