Yamazakura of Takamine - Peak Bloom

Yamazakura of Takamine - Peak Bloom

"The Yoshino of the West, the Sakuragawa of the East"

Takamine and others (recommended viewpoint is Hirasawa area)

Early Apr~Late Apr

In Sakuragawa City, Ibaraki Prefecture, there are numerous Yamazakura trees that grow naturally in the mountains, including Takamine. The Yamazakura blooms slightly later than the Somei Yoshino, and the pale pink cherry blossoms and red buds coincide with the fresh green of the trees, creating a patchwork-like view. Unlike the beauty of Somei Yoshino, the natural cherry blossoms have many variations, and each tree is a unique "one-of-a-kind flower." Enjoy the Sakuragawa cherries, which are also known as the "Isobe's Many Colored Cherry Blossoms."
