23rd Joso Chihime Festival

A glamorous and elegant woman's era scroll
Held to celebrate the birth of 'Chihime', the granddaughter of Tokugawa Ieyasu, as it is the site of Kōkyō-ji, her family temple. A splendid parade featuring the glamorous Chihime and her entourage, fun stage events, gourmet food & shops, and more will take place. This year, a high school student-produced 'Tsubakisaki Festival' will be held as a pre-festival event on May 10.
