Yamaage Festival

A splendid and luxurious outdoor Kabuki dance unique in the country
With a tradition of over 460 years, the "Yamaage Festival" features a 10-meter tall "Harikayama" depicting the local specialty "Karasuyama Washi" on the roads of the city during performances. The scene of the Yamaage, which is said to be the origin of the name, is truly spectacular! This year's hosting town is "Izumimachi".
