Terumoto Mori (1553–1625) was defeated in the Battle of Sekigahara, and built his castle in Hagi in 1604 (Keicho 9). Since then, Hagi has prospered as a castle town of the Choshu Hagi domain for 260 years with a revenue of 369,000 koku. This exhibition introduces the character and achievements of Terumoto Mori, the founder of Choshu Hagi domain, through materials collected by Hagi Museum over the years. Many materials are being shown for the first time.
