120th Anniversary of Vories' Arrival in Japan: 5th Event

February 2025 marks the 120th anniversary of William Merrell Vories, the founder of the Omih Brothers company and an honorary citizen of Omihachiman, coming to Japan. The council will kick off a year of events with a symposium on February 2, the date when Vories first arrived in Omihachiman, followed by lectures and a North American travel study retracing Vories' footsteps. This time, three speakers, including writer Kaoru Tamaoka, will take the stage with the theme 'Mr. Vories and Ms. Maniko in a Drama!'\n
