A representative dance of Toyama Prefecture

Ota Shrine

9/6(Sat) 14:30~15:30

A bald monk dressed in a black-dyed happi coat with a twisted hachimaki, wearing a waist sash, and sandals, holds a 'dashi' with offerings decorated on a double umbrella, artificial flowers attached to the umbrella, and lanterns inscribed with 'Gannenbozu', 'Tenka Taihei', and 'Hounen Mansaku'. Following him are other monks in similar happi attire, along with several male dancers wearing long undergarments, white hachimaki, and a front apron resembling a sumo wrestler's ceremonial belt. They perform a lively dance accompanied by drums, taiko, shakuhachi, shamisen, and kokyu.
