Taniguchi Rokuro was an artist who uniquely expressed the lives of children and social changes during the Showa era. He illustrated the cover art for 'Weekly Shincho' from the inaugural issue in 1956 until his passing in 1981, a span of 26 years. This exhibition features about 120 original illustrations for the 'Weekly Shincho' covers from the collection of the Yokosuka Art Museum, where Rokuro had his studio, as well as original illustrations for novel covers and picture books.
