Bear Armor Festival

Bear Armor 20-Day Festival's Frame Flag Event
The Great Festival of Kumakafuzararakashihiko Shrine (Bear Armor Shrine) is held every year on September 20, and is also called the '20-Day Festival'. The portable shrines dispatched from 19 subsidiary shrines, led by Sarutahiko, enter the main shrine accompanied by a deep crimson frame flag about 20 meters tall, and Sarutahiko dances wildly throughout the shrine grounds to the sound of bells and drums. Designated as an important intangible folk cultural asset by the country.
