Insect Observation Event: Learning Biodiversity at the Nanko Kumagusu Memorial Museum

Let's observe the insects living in Banshozan
As a part of the Ministry of the Environment's Yoshino-Kumano National Park partnership event, we will hold the 'Biodiversity Learning at the Nanko Kumagusu Memorial Museum.' Banshozan is influenced by the warm Kuroshio Current and hosts a variety of flora and fauna from the southern region. We will learn about the ecosystem through the insects that inhabit this area. The instructors are Mr. Ikki Matoba from the Wakayama Prefectural Museum of Natural History and Mr. Hitoshi Yamawashi from Wakayama Prefectural Arita Central High School. Insect nets will be available for rent. If you wish to take insects home, please bring a bug cage. The maximum number of participants is 30 for each session. Registration is required.
