This is the festival at Semmon Shrine, which is worshiped in the three districts of Kira, Terashima, and Seto. Until before the war, 'Uma Kake' was held at a dedicated horse racing track. Even now, local people continue to offer decorative horses according to traditional customs. *The horse gear used for the decorative horses in the ceremony is designated as a cultural property by the prefecture. Additionally, at 'Seirin-ji', which is adjacent to Semmon Shrine, you can find the grave of the leader of the White South Pole Expedition and displays of a penguin statue and screw blades.
