'Parent-Child Hand-Made Washi Experience' Deaf Class Traditional Culture Experience 2025

Challenge yourself to create traditional hand-made washi paper using precious washi materials sourced from the Tama region! The history of washi is quite old, existing since before Christ. Taking 'Otsukimi' (moon viewing) as the theme, let's create one-of-a-kind postcards using materials native to the Tama region. The program flow includes: What is traditional hand-made washi? (lecture) and creating a one-of-a-kind postcard themed around Otsukimi. The target audience is children with hearing impairments aged 4 and above, along with their guardians (1 child + 1 guardian = 1 parent-child pair). ■ Notes Only those who are okay with being photographed may participate. Adults only participation is not allowed. Those with a fever on the day of the event cannot participate.
