The earth is made up of 71% water, and has been referred to as the "planet of water." However, various crisis situations regarding water are now emerging. The population explosion has brought to the forefront the issue of water that supports life, while the privatization of water supply is provoking various discussions, particularly in economically developed countries. This lecture will reconsider the often overlooked issue of water from both historical and global perspectives. Online streaming will also be available. Advance registration is required.
