Geibikei

Mid-Oct~Early Nov

Geibikei, counted among Japan's top 100 scenic spots, is a approximately 2km-long gorge formed by the erosion of limestone by the Satetsu River, featuring towering cliffs that exceed 100m in height, designated as a national scenic spot. In autumn, the trees that grow on the cliffs turn vibrant colors, allowing visitors to enjoy a stunning landscape. One can also enjoy the colorful autumn foliage while listening to the 'Geibi Oiwake' echoing from the towering rocks as skilled boatmen maneuver their boats with a single pole on the famous boat ride.
