Mōtsūji, founded by the monk Jikaku Daishi Ennin, saw the construction of many halls during the time of the second and third generations of the Fujiwara clan, Motohira and Hidehira. In autumn, the beautiful gardens and the remnants of temple buildings are adorned with vibrant autumn leaves, offering a breathtaking view unique to the season.
