Wakayama City Tourism Association

Enjoy listening to "old tales" at the former Nakakasu house

Former Nakakasu Family Residence

11/16(Sun) 14:00~14:30

The former Nakakasu family residence is a large landowner's house built in the late Edo period and is designated as an important cultural property of the country. Every spring and fall, storytelling sessions of Wakayama's old tales are held by the Wakayama Folktale Society, and they are well received. Just as grandfathers and grandmothers used to tell stories by the hearth, the traditional tales passed down in Wakayama are narrated in the local dialect. The capacity is about 25 people (first come, first served). ■Notes For inquiries on Saturdays and Sundays, please contact the former Nakakasu family residence at 073-465-3040.
