[Maple Viewing] Kyousokuji Temple

200 maple trees invite you to a healing world

Kyousokuji Temple (Former Ippukuji Temple) Ruins

11/15(Sat)~12/4(Thu) 08:30~16:00

Kyousokuji Temple (Former Ippukuji Temple) is said to have been founded by Gyoki in the Nara period and later restored by Saicho. Every year, from mid to late November, about 200 ancient maple trees turn color, vividly painting the quiet precincts. The sight of fallen leaves creating a red carpet is breathtaking. *The main deities can be viewed at Okagakubo and Sedai Pavilion (admission fee separate).
