Ojiya Festival

The 'Ojiya Festival' unfolds over three days with citizens at its core. The first day features folk dancing, children's portable shrines, and costume bon dancing; the second day includes the Karakuri Lantern Parade and grand fireworks festival; the third day features the festival square and Karakuri Lantern Parade. The Ojiya lanterns have mechanisms that allow them to move and parade along with the traditional music. The Ojiya Festival, the climax of summer, is truly a moment when 'flowers', 'skills', 'tradition', and 'beauty' bloom all at once.

If there is severe weather on the 23rd, the fireworks festival will be held on the 24th.
