Ojiya Matsuri Grand Fireworks Festival
One of the top large star mines in the prefecture
The largest festival in Ojiya City, "Ojiya Matsuri", unfolds over three days. On the second night, a fireworks festival, which is a summer highlight, is held. The beauty of the fireworks launched at close range is worth seeing. The finale features an ultra-luxurious star mine sponsored by local citizens. Enjoy powerful fireworks spanning approximately 1,000 meters up close. There are also paid viewing seats available. The launch site is downstream of the Asahi Bridge on the Shinano River, with viewing areas in the Ojiya City Shinano River riverbed.
