Introducing the diverse relationships between humans and insects

Aichi Asahi Ruins Museum

7/19(Sat)~9/15(Mon) 09:30~17:00

Many insect fragments and traces have been discovered in archaeological surveys of Yayoi period sites across the country, leading to research that infers the environment and lifestyle of that era. The Yayoi period was also the time when sericulture began in Japan, marking the start of a new relationship between humans and insects. This exhibition will showcase materials related to insects unearthed from Yayoi period sites, ritual implements in the shape of insects, and silk products from the Yayoi period, introducing the diverse relationships between humans and insects. ■Notes Courses and lectures require prior registration (details available on the website).
