He moved to the U.S. at the age of 17 and has shone as a top artist in the New York music scene, starting with a world tour with his idol John Coltrane's drummer, Rashied Ali, and collaborating with rock star Carlos Santana. Other members are Ryoichi Zao (bass), Misaki Nakamichi (drums), and Mamoru Ishida (piano).
