Kumakōgen Town Museum of Art 2025 Independent Planning Exhibition Ryohei Suga The Long Wait

Ryohei Suga, an artist from Ehime, who continues to express diverse themes centered on 'Void,' will hold a solo exhibition focused on the cultural history surrounding pine. The exhibition reconsiders pine, which has been rooted in the spirit and life of Japanese people, from dual perspectives of its symbolism and practicality. It expresses multilayered representations while intertwining the memories of the land in Kumakōgen Town, where pine once flourished broadly, and the establishment of the Kumakōgen Town Museum of Art.
