Special Exhibition "I Want to Know More! The Largest Japanese River Otter Exhibition in History"

The Science Museum's Otter Collection - All on Display!
The Japanese river otter, the prefectural animal of Ehime Prefecture, has not been reliably observed in the prefecture since the last capture in 1975. Marking the 50th anniversary since the last confirmed sighting in the prefecture, this exhibition will comprehensively display materials related to the Japanese river otter held by the museum, deepening understanding of otters as animals, their relationship with us, and the extinction of species.
