[Autumn Foliage / Best Viewing] Sougu Shrine

Hidden Autumn Foliage Spot

Sougu Shrine

11/5(Wed)~11/25(Tue)

On the east side of Ayame Park, the 'Sougu Shrine', established about 1200 years ago, is known as the premier shrine of Nagai. The origin of Nagai's 'Black Lion' is transmitted here, and the lion heads handed down through generations are carefully preserved within the shrine. The 'Naoe Cedar', believed to have been planted by the warlord Naoe Kanetsugu during his visit, along with donated 'swords', are still present today. You can enjoy the beautiful trees that change color with the arrival of autumn.
