Danzan Shrine's 3,000 Maple Trees Light Up

Danzan Shrine

11/14(Fri)~12/7(Sun)

Danzan Shrine is famous as the place where the deity, Fujiwara no Kamatari, and Prince Naka no Ōe had secret talks during the Taika Reform. From mid to late November, about three thousand maple trees will bloom all at once. The illuminated autumn leaves show a different face from the vibrant beauty of the daytime, and the stunning sight created by their exquisite presence combined with the shrine's important cultural property is truly enchanting. The original Danzan Shrine lanterns will be available for rent, food stalls will be set up, and somen noodles will be sold, allowing visitors to enjoy various activities.
