【Autumn Leaves - Best Viewing】Taisekikyo

【Autumn Leaves - Best Viewing】Taisekikyo

Enjoy the magnificent nature

Taisekikyo

Late Oct~Early Nov

The Taisekikyo, a national park spanning Higashijo Town, Shobara City and Jinseki District, Jinseki Kogen Town, is a gorge approximately 18 km long located in the center of the Chugoku Mountains. It is a major scenic spot in the Bihado-Dogo Taiseki National Park, designated as a national scenic area. A karst plateau formed by the deep erosion of limestone plateaus spreads out, featuring the massive natural bridge, Oohashi, formed by potholes and the erosion of stream water, as well as the serene Shinyon Lake, which harmonizes with nature, making it look unlike an artificial lake. There are many highlights throughout the year with fresh greenery in spring and autumn leaves in fall.
