Fukutsu Furusato Theater 2025

The 'Furusato Theater' will be held by the Fukutsu Folklore Theater Group and the Katsuura Bunraku Preservation Society. The Fukutsu Folklore Theater Group studies various folk tales that have been passed down in the city for a long time, creating everything from scripts to costumes and props themselves. This year, a reading drama 'Moonlight Summer' will be performed. The Katsuura Bunraku Preservation Society will perform 'Kasei Awa no Naruto: Jurobe's Residence'. When the narration, shamisen, and puppet manipulation come together perfectly, a great sense of emotion is born in the audience. A valuable opportunity to experience Fukutsu's traditional performing arts!
