[Autumn Leaves - Best Viewing] Nishishiwaya

[Autumn Leaves - Best Viewing] Nishishiwaya

Feels a bit like Machu Picchu

Nishishiwaya Area

Early Nov~Mid-Nov

The terraced landscape of the Nishishiwaya area, visible from National Route 387, resembles Machu Picchu, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Peru often referred to as an aerial city, which is why it's called 'Usa's Machu Picchu.' In autumn, the conical mountain, Akiba-sama, which closely resembles Machu Picchu's Waynapichu, turns a vibrant red, making it a popular spot for autumn leaf viewing. Additionally, the large ginkgo tree located within the grounds of Nishishiwaya Shrine in the Nishishiwaya settlement is also impressive.
