Higashishiya Falls, selected as one of Japan's 100 Famous Waterfalls, is称されて as 'Kyushu Kegon' because it resembles Kegon Falls in Nikko. The sight of water falling from a cliff 85m high is stunning and filled with negative ions. Additionally, it is a noble and beautiful waterfall, featuring clear streams flowing from the waterfall's basin; the beauty of the stream is also a characteristic of this waterfall. In spring, the clear water and fresh greenery shine brightly, and in autumn, the fall colors boast magnificent scenery.
