Competition of matchlock firearms by Kuniyuki and Tanegashima firing squads
The competition of matchlock firearms by three groups from the local Kuniyuki (Nagahama City, Shiga Prefecture), Tanegashima (Nishinoomote City, Kagoshima Prefecture), and Sakai (Sakai City, Osaka Prefecture) will be held. This event is part of the 'Nagahama Shusse Matsuri,' commemorating Toyotomi Hideyoshi, who became the first lord of Nagahama and eventually rose to the position of regent. You can witness a traditional and impressive performance.
