The martial arts of archery and equestrianism, which are the essence of the samurai. These flourished during the peaceful Edo period, when various schools rose and competition expanded. The samurai also incorporated ancient games from the court, such as kemari and daikyū. This exhibition focuses on the connection between these martial arts and entertainment related to modern sports, and the daimyo.
