Maruyama Park

Maruyama Park is a famous cherry blossom site where around 100 Yama-sakura bloom in spring, coloring the entire hilltop park in vibrant cherry blossom colors. Every year, during the peak viewing period from early to late April, there is also night cherry blossom illumination. Additionally, at the top of the hill, there is a statue of the legendary figure Yaku no Gyoja, and deeper in the park, there is one of the historical sites known as "Shikitsu Seven Wonders," called "Himeishi Myojin," which is also associated with Kunihime and Kukai.

About 60 minutes from the Nishi-Meihan Expressway Hara IC or Ueno IC.

About a 15-minute walk from the "Kake Nishi-guchi" stop of the Oku-Uda Wakuwaku Bus to the "Shikitsu" stop of the Mie Transportation Bus or the Gotsu Furie Bus.
