Why Do These Clothes Look Similar?

Introducing clothing from around the world with similar shapes and patterns
This exhibition selects clothing and textiles from about 30 countries in the collection of the Bunka Gakuen Costume Museum and introduces them by grouping them into categories of "similar shapes" and "similar patterns." By displaying them side by side, we explore whether there are any commonalities or reasons for the similarities, or whether there are influences from different regions, thereby investigating the meanings and sentiments that people have embedded in their clothing. ■Notes For the latest information, please refer to the official website of the Bunka Gakuen Costume Museum.
