[Autumn Foliage - Best Viewing] Tanzawa-Oyama National Park & Kanagawa Prefectural Tanzawa-Oyama Natural Park

The entire natural park, featuring beech and fir forests, large animals like the East Asian black bear and theJapanese serow, and characteristic organisms of Tanzawa, is dyed in red and yellow. There are many attractions, such as places where you can overlook Tanzawa Lake and Tsutsu Genjiyama, as well as Yushin Valley and Genkura Dam. There are sure to be new discoveries with each visit. For information about the Oyama and Tō no Dake areas, please contact the Hadano Visitor Center, and for information about Tanzawa Lake and Yushin, please inquire at the Nishitanzawa Visitor Center.

The event date is a guideline for the best viewing period, which may vary due to weather conditions. Note: The main ridge line above 1000m typically starts to turn red around mid-October, gradually leading the autumn foliage down to the foothills. The foothills start to reach full bloom around late November.
