Yabusame is carried out in the inner approach after the conclusion of the rice planting festival. For this day, a horse arena is created in the inner approach, where horses gallop through with the sound of hooves echoing, dedicating themselves to Kashima Shrine. The sound of the hooves of the galloping horses and the sound of arrows released from horseback hitting the target resonate in the inner approach. Moreover, it is said that hitting the target with the arrow brings good fortune.
